Norwich Union Desktop Athlete keeps users running on time
Norwich Union have launched the Norwich Union Desktop Athlete to keep sports fans up-to-date with the latest athletics news this summer.

Powered by Skinkers technology, the application features an energetic cartoon athlete who leaps, jogs and stretches on the desktop. In addition to the alerts channel, value-added services are bundled to build long-term relationships and provide personalised services to the user, marking a new development within desktop messaging technology.
Users can keep track of personal appointments with the handy calendar, plan travel journeys using the RAC route finder and search the web directly from the alerts window. The athlete features in an addictive discus game and there's a screensaver of the GB Athletics Team. Users will also get the chance to win a number of prizes, including a plasma television and an iPod.
